17 Bible Verses on Christian Parenting

What is Christian parenting?

Becoming a mom or a dad for the first time, especially when your baby is just born, comes with the absence of a written manual on how to raise a child. As a first-time parent, I vividly recall feeling lost in caring for this small miracle that God had blessed us with.

My desire was to nurture my child in a Christian household, a foundation I didn't have in my own upbringing. Growing up, I wasn't raised in a Christian environment, leaving me with no guidance or example from my parents.

The question arises: Does the Bible provide references on how to raise children in a biblical way?

It was later revealed to me that the pages of the Bible are filled with nuggets of wisdom on parenting. While acquiring Christian parenting books is an option to learn and understand biblical principles from others, I personally adhere to grace-based parenting. My journey involves learning how to raise children in God's grace and disciplining them in the loving manner prescribed by the Bible. This journey continues as my children grow.

I'd like to share the invaluable nuggets of parenting wisdom I discovered in the Bible and through my drawings and paintings. If you're celebrating becoming new parents these Bible verses might offer the encouragement you need as you embark on a new chapter in your lives. Notably, these verses are applicable not only to mothers and fathers but also to children, especially those in the pre-teen to adulthood stage. My hope is that these verses assist you in building a Christ-centered marriage and family, providing guidance to overcome any parenting struggles with faith and God's direction.

For all the tired and weary parents out there persevering, these verses might offer the encouragement and reassurance that you are doing a great job! Hang in there and stay in the faith - don't give up! 😊
